You Don’t Have To Break The Bank To Save The Planet

Friday April 22n’t is Earth Day.

That means it’s time for us to  to celebrate the amazing planet we live on. I mean, just look at how beautiful Earth can be:

It’s awe-inspiring.

But Earth Day is about much more than just looking at jaw-dropping pictures of nature. It’s also about making sure that we’re doing enough to protect the planet we love so dearly. Our world is threatened by environmental catastrophe and we all have to make an effort to ensure we are doing what we can to prevent that disaster from happening.

Last year, just before Earth Day, we gave you some tips about how to make your business more green.

But it’s not always that easy, is it? We have to take care of the planet, but our first responsibility is always, of course, going to be your business. You can’t always afford to spend extra money just because a solution is more Eco-friendly. If your business goes under, you can’t provide for your family, so sometimes being cost effective has to take priority over being environmentally friendly.

But what if we told you those two things didn’t have to be mutually exclusive? You can take steps that help the planet without spending so much money you run your business into the ground. There are lots of great products that you can use that are good for the environment and good for your bottom line. Some Earth-Friendly options can actually save you money in the long-run.

Take Energy Star equipment as an example.

Energy Star appliances should be a no-brainer for any business with a kitchen, commercial or otherwise. These appliances allow consumers and business-owners alike to save a ton of money on their energy bills without sacrificing any quality in the equipment. If you’ve got an old piece of kitchen equipment, it may seem very expensive to replace, but if you replace it with an Energy Star Appliance, the savings that could generate in your utility bill could pay for itself in no time at all.

Even just a few weeks ago we told you all about how great Aluminum containers can be for recycling while also saving you money from more expensive plastic options. Remember, recycling aluminum is actually 95% more energy efficient than processing new aluminum. That’s 20 times less energy! The energy saved by recycling just one aluminum can is enough to run a television for three hours

Beyond that, PJP has a plethora of towel and tissue options that are made entirely from recycled materials but are still priced incredibly competitively from amazing vendors like Cascades Tissue and Kimberly Clark.

So what are you waiting for? Call your PJP salesperson and start making a positive impact on your bottom line and the planet.
